Prostrate is cancer that occurs in the prostrate – a small walnut shaped gland in men that produces the seminal fluid that nourishes and transport sperm. Prostrate cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in men. Usually prostrate cancer grows slowly and is initially confined to the prostrate gland , where it may not cancer serious harm.

Prostrate cancer is the most common cancer among men after skin cancer but it can often be treated  successful .If you happen to have prostrate cancer or close to someone who does, knowing what to expect can help you cope.

Prostrate cancer is more common in the African American population than the western in comparison with the white American. The risk of getting prostrate cancer by the age of 75 is 1 out of 7 men. One in 6 men will be diagnosed with  prostrate cancer by the age of 85.
