The United States President-Elect Joe Biden did hire and announce an all-female Communications team on Sunday, November 29, 2020. His announcement takes place together with his Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris. During a press release from the transition team office, Biden expresses his desire to deliver trustworthy communications to his netizens. His team will also ensure the connection of all American citizens to the White House.

“This team has been entrusted with the tremendous responsibility of connecting the American people to the White House. Communicating directly and truthfully to the American people is one of the most important duties of a president,” Biden is quoted saying in a press release. In addition, he also insists that these people are qualified and experienced communicators. Also according to him, they will bring diverse perspectives to their work and a shared commitment to building the United States better.

Kate Bedingfield is now the White House Communications director. During the Biden-Harris campaign, she served as the Communications director. She has expressed her gratitude through her Twitter account. “ It will also be an honor to work alongside the incredible women who are taking on these roles together,” Bedingfield has written on her Twitter account. Furthermore, she expresses her detailing the relationship with the other women named to the team. Bedingfield has also previously worked for Biden when he was the Vice President in the Obama administration.

Pili Tobar will now serve as Bedingfield deputy. Previously she has served as the deputy director of America’s voice. Apparently, it is an immigration reform advocacy group. Ashley Etienne is the new Communications Director for Harris. She has also served as the Communications Director for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Symone Sanders will also serve as a senior advisor and a chief spokesperson for the vice president’s office. She has previously worked for Senator Bernie Sanders during his bid to be the Democratic nominee. In addition to the list, they appoint Jen Psaki as the White House Press Secretary.
