The most painful goodbyes are the ones that are never said and also never explained. Chief Executive Officer of Doshi Group of Companies succumbs. Nilesh Doshi passed away while undergoing treatment in the hospital.

The Kenya Association of Manufacturers made the announcement on Tuesday 5th January 2021. Apparently, the news went through the Metal and Allied Sector Chairman. Part of the statement also reads that “May the Almighty God rest his soul in eternal peace. The late Mr. Nilesh Doshi will be remembered a lot. He has a lot of impact on the sector. In addition, his memories and also all the lessons he impacted us.”
Doshi Group of companies went viral through the name ‘Chuma ya nguvu’. Over the decades, it has provided electrical, steel, water, hardware, and also telecom solutions. Its establishment occurred in the year 1930, in Mombasa County located in Kenya. The organization’s core and the primary business is a supply of quality products. Furthermore, it also provides solutions to sectors like engineering, steel fabrication, building and construction, infrastructure, and the oil and gas sector.

In December 2020, Nilesh Doshi was also part of the 5th edition of the East Africa Water Summit. Mr. Doshi made a presentation during the ongoing summit. Apparently, the initiative targets bringing together all stakeholders in the sanitation and water industry in the East African region. The summit is also a hybrid of the private-public sectors. They do not leave any sector behind. During the December 2020 summit, all leaders present shared relevant experiences. They also shared knowledge and technology on sustainable ways of accelerating water, sanitation, and hygiene. Their main target being resilient communities and SDG 6 whenever pandemics strike.
During the summit, Nilesh Doshi also made his remarks. He expressed his gratitude for being part of the able team. “We are happy to be part of the discussion on Accelerating water and sanitation for all in the face of the pandemic,” stated Nilesh. After the ‘Chuma ya Doshi’ went viral, a number of people released songs. As a result of this, Nilesh’s memories reign. Even for generations to come Doshi’s group of companies continues to lead.
