As much as we have several vital organs in the body, the brain is kind of a big deal. As the control center of the body, the brain is in charge of keeping the heart beating and lungs breathing and allowing one to move, feel and think. It is therefore a good idea to keep the brain in peak working condition. The foods one eats play a key role in keeping their brain healthy and can also enhance specific mental tasks, such as memory and concentration.

This list of foods is not exhaustive, but these foods should be priority if you want to boost proper functionality of the brain. Antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, Vitamins such as C, E, K, B2 and B12, minerals such as zinc, copper, magnesium etc., and caffeine, are all substances that generally improve the function of the brain, by enhancing circulation, boosting communication between brain cells, reducing stress and inflammation et cetera. These nutrients and minerals are found in foods such as fatty fish, coffee, blueberries, turmeric, broccoli, pumpkin seeds, dark chocolate, nuts, oranges and eggs. With these and more foods, you are set to keep your brain healthy.
