Kenya football team Harambee Stars upscales two slots higher in the recently released FIFA rankings. As per the results released on Wednesday 7th, 2021 Harambee Stars lies at position one hundred and two (102). These results occur after all the 185 international matches played all through the March International break.
In the East Africa region, Kenya still holds 2nd position. This occurs after a win against South Africa and Tanzania in the friendlies. In addition, the lead is attributed after Harambee Stars beating Togo 2-1 and also drawing with Egypt in their last qualifying matches. These results sum up to all the played four matches in the month of March.

In addition to Kenya rising higher, two other countries have also improved by four slots higher. Currently, Sudan lies at position 123 while Rwanda at 129. Their improvement places their respective countries in better places. Uganda however continues to drop. Previously it went down by four slots in the last ranking. Currently, it’s at position 84 after a further one slot drop. Tanzania also dropped to position 137 after going two slots down.
Harambee Stars at position 102
Senegal continues to lead Africa at position one. However, it’s not a sweet ride because worldwise it’s at position 22. As per the world ranking its dropped by two slots. African countries following Senegal worldwise are as follows; Tunisia at position 26 and also Nigeria at 32. In addition to the list, lies Algeria at position 33 and also Morocco at 34.
Bafana Bafana dropped by four places to position 75. This occurred after South Africa miserably failed to qualify for Afcon. As per this edition ranking, the following countries have improved in Africa as per points. Malawi leads the troop with (115,+8), Cape Verde (73, +7), and also Ethiopia (140,+6). Denmark marks a new entry into the top ten list after Mexico dropped two positions down. Its win broke the elite list of top ten. Mexico previously held the ninth position but its two slots drop places it at position 11.
Globally the top 6 list remains the same. Belgium takes the lead followed by France, Brazil, England, Portugal, and lastly Spain at position six. Italy also went a notch higher to position 7. This after the postponing of Argentina and Uruguay South American World Cup qualifiers.
