Death is the last chapter in time, but the first chapter in eternity. We all crave to be with our loved ones for all ages. What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us. It’s so saddening that when the world is in festivities, Jomo Kenyatta Girls’ High School is in mourning.

A thousand words won’t bring you back we know because we have tried, neither will a million tears we know because we have cried. The sudden death of Madam Catherine Cheruiyot leaves a big blow to the Teachers fraternity. Nevertheless, the worst hit are Jomo Kenyatta Girls students. Not only was she a principal, but she was also a woman with a golden heart. Many students who have passed through her hands are taking it hard.
Jomo Kenyatta Principal Reign
In the year 2016, after the separation of the two schools, she was made principal. For the last 5 years, she has served as the Principal Jomo Kenyatta Girls’ until her untimely demise. Her death comes at a period when many principals have died during this pandemic. She remains to be the first principal for the Girls’ School. During the legacy, the school has shown exemplary results.
Bahati Constituency Member of Parliament Kimani Ngunjiri has sent his condolence message. Through a post on his Facebook page, the veteran politician expresses his condolences. The principal’s death leaves a big empty space in his life. Apparently, after his mother’s death, the Jomo Kenyatta Girl’s principal stood by him in each step. He also adds that her death is a big hit to the Bahati community and Kenya at large.
In addition to those sending their condolences is Mister Paul Waithaka. The Biology and Agriculture teacher takes it hard believing that she is gone. Apparently, after his wedding on the 23rd of December, he paid a visit to the principal yesterday. She requested for a bouquet of flowers which they left for her, not knowing it’s their last interaction. War Memorial Hospital in Nakuru happens to be where she had her last breath.

Jomo Kenyatta Girls Principal memories will forever remain in the hearts of many. She leaves behind a hospital bill of 120 thousand.
