Whenever death kicks sorrow invades those left behind. Magufuli’s death leaves behind emotional hearts and all people have are the memories to treasure. The death of the Late President of the Republic of Tanzania, John Magufuli has brought out emotions. Being a man of the people, he has touched many lives. His burial scheduled for March 25th, 2021, on Thursday.
On Wednesday 17th March 2021 Tanzania Vice President Samia Hassan announced Magufuli’s death. For a fortnight speculations of his death have been high. However, Samia cleared the air after the sad announcement. She also said that his death occurred due to heart disease. He succumbed at Mzena State Hospital in Dar-es-salaam at the age of sixty-one.
During her address, Samia Hassan gave details of Magufuli last journey. “On 6th March he became ill and rushed to Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute in Tanzania. However, a transfer to Mzena Hospital took place. It’s in this hospital that he breathed his last.”
Magufuli Burial Plans
His burial set for the 25th of this month, all flags in the Republic of Tanzania fly at half-mast. The country is in twenty-one days mourning period as a way of eulogizing the fallen hero. Tanzania’s first and newly sworn-in President Samia Hassan Suluhu gave the details of his send-off.
On Saturday, March 20th, 2021, people get the opportunity to pay their last respect to the late John Pombe Magufuli. Currently, his body lies at the Lugalo Military Hospital. In addition, a requiem mass will be held on the same Saturday. Later on, Magufuli’s body will be moved to Uhuru Stadium in Dares-Salaam. Leaders and also area residents get the opportunity to also pay their tributes.
Later on, his body will be taken to Dodom, the capital city on 21st march. Magufuli’s body will lie in state till 22nd march at 9 am. Later on, taken to Mwanza. The next day, March 23rd the body leaves Mwanza for Chato, his resting place. On the 24th, family and Chato residents pay their last respect ahead of the burial on the 25th. The funeral service will be at the Catholic Church in the same town. People continue to eulogize Magufuli on all platforms. Various artists celebrate his good deeds.
