The English Premier league is the world’s richest domestic soccer league, and two of its players have appeared in the latest Forbes top 10 list of the wealth table. According to the list, Messi’s total earnings this year are US$126 million: US$92 million from his salary and $34 million in endorsements. A lot of drama was witnessed a few weeks ago with rumors of Messi’s transfer from Barcelona and as much as he was denied a potentially money-spinning move after a contract dispute, the Argentine talent remains the world’s richest soccer player.
Unsurprisingly, following Barcelona’s forward closely in the second position is Juventus’ forward Cristiano Ronaldo with earnings of US$117 million, and his standing as the most followed soccer player on social media still remains. PSG’s Neymar comes in third on the list with $96 million with his team mate, 21-year-old Kylian Mbappe, up in fourth spot with $42 million.Follow us in social media:
