Police in Naivasha have arrested a young man for allegedly stabbing his 18-year-old girlfriend to death. Well-wishers rushed the girl to Naivasha Subcounty Hospital on Sunday morning. Doctors declared her dead on arrival. Police are holding the 21-year-old suspect at Naivasha police station.
In his defense, unknown people attacked the lady in his house, because he saw someone fleeing from their rented house in Mai Mahiu. He ended up contradicting his statements. Naivasha police boss, Samuel Waweru, said that the suspect’s contradictory statements led to his arrest. DCI officers have taken over the case.
A neighbor said that the suspect had invited the girl for a sleepover. He added that the suspect claimed to have left to watch a football match on Saturday evening, only to return and find the lady’s body soaked in blood. He claimed to have seen a semi-naked man fleeing from the house.

In most murder cases, the victims know the perpetrators well. At times, these perpetrators are their lovers. Ruth Kamande, the Lang’ata women’s prison beauty, lost an appeal challenging her death sentence. The 26-year old lady will now spend the rest of her life in jail after she stabbed her boyfriend Farid Mohammed. After High Judge Jessie Lessit sentenced her to death, Ruth moved to the court of appeal hoping to prove that she had no intention to kill Mohammed. According to her, she stabbed him in self-defense.
Her two lawyers argued that there was no postmortem examination to ascertain that the victim died of inflicted injuries.Follow us in social media:
