Ruto Secret Meeting With ODM leadership. In the political world today, leaders are reportedly holding secret meetings. With potential allies as they plan campaigns for the BBI report and next year’s presidential election.
Recently deputy president William Ruto said to held a secret nine-hour meeting with ODM Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya in Narok. The meeting comes days after key regional leaders. It was held at Nairobi hotel which triggers speculations that ODM leader Raila Odinga was building a new alliance around them.

The handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and also Odinga is undergoing harsh tests with the latter allies. This suggests the BBI secretariate offices are not in function. Interior PS Karanja Kibicho allegedly threatened the unity of the handshake.
What transpired during the Ruto meeting had with oparanya
Recently, the Kakamega governor made remarks that seemed to be contradicting those of his party leader Raila Odinga. In addition, the BBI referendum is set for next year so that the available resources could be used to deal with covid 19. ‘’if there is no money at the national treasury, there is no need of pushing to have the referendum this year. We should plan to hold the referendum next year when our economy has stabilized and covid 19 contained’’ he said.
Among those attending the Deputy President RUTO and ODM LEADEROparanya meeting included former cabinet secretaries Mwangi Kiunjuri and Rashid Echesa and Narok West MP Gabriel Tongoyo at the DP’S farm in Kilgoris in the afternoon. because Ruto had another meeting.
The meeting extended up to the early night thus forcing the leaders to spend the night at the Masai Mara Game Reserve.
The meeting was to bring together former united nations conferences on trade and development. The secretary-general Mukhiya Kituyi, first and second term governors, and some ODM legislators. They are still working on how this will be useful.
