State House has announced the death of a member of staff. He passed on Tuesday, November 25, 2020. In statement, State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena said that Eustace Nyaga Rewa succumbed after a short illness. President Uhuru Kenyatta sent a message of commiseration to the family following the news. “The President described him as a devoted and seasoned public servant whose service will be greatly missed,” the statement from State House read.Nyaga died just days after his family laid his mother Agnes Ithima M’rewa to rest on November 20.

At the same time, the Head of State also mourned the death of St John Ambulance CEO Albert Ruturi. In his message of comfort to the family and staff of St John Ambulance, the President described the deceased humanitarian worker as an extraordinary leader. His service to the nation over the years helped save the lives of many Kenyans.
Furthermore, President Kenyatta Ruturi was one of the great Kenyans. His selfless service to mankind has saved the lives of many. Especially, through the St John Ambulance service.
Uhuru added that it was very unfortunate. Ruturi had died at a time when the country highly required his service. This is especially considering the health challenges posed by the Covid-19 health crisis.
On November 17, Presidential Escort Unit officer Edward Saruni Legei passed on in Nairobi. He was undergoing treatment for Covid-19. Legei was a four-time winner of the Kenya Open Bisley Championships. A widow has succeded the deceased, who is an acclaimed sharpshooter. Her name is Rose Lenkupae, whom he married in a colorful ceremony back in 2017.
