Sadio Mane scored a second half double to help Liverpool cruise past Chelsea with a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge on Sunday. Chelsea were reduced to 10 men after Chistensen was sent off for a professional foul on Mane after 45 minutes. Just before halftime, Mane was through on goal when Christensen brought him down. The referee initially brandished a yellow card but Paul Tierney hanged it to a red after checking the Video Assistant Referee screen.
Mane grabbed his second goal four minutes later when he pounced on Kepa Arrizabalaga’s mistake and scored into an empty net. Kepa’s lazy pass to Kurt Zouma was easily interrupted by Mane who had the simplest of tasks to score. Mane could also have bagged another goal but his deflected effort was saved by the Spanish keeper. With these two goals, and him having a better Premier League record than Cristiano Ronaldo, is Mane the next big thing?Follow us in social media:
