On August 9 the United States on Sunday moved to an extraordinary milestone of five million cases as Donald Trump was accused to flouting the constitution.

US yesterday added 47,197 new cases in a period of 24 hours, with 532 deaths according to Johns Hopkins University. All of its fatalities are now to 162,913 and the number of infections is 5,041,473 the Baltimore-based University said.

As temperatures soared across the Western Europe, holidaymakers crowded beaches at the weekend despite of restrictions about the risk of infection. Local authorities in Germany said that some beaches and lakes would be closed if they would be crowded.
