To many people she was doomed but now she is using her downfall to better herself.Former Citizen Tv news anchor Jacque Maribe speaks out for the first time since she left the media Industry. Maribe spoke about her journey in the field of journalism during one of her episodes in her new YouTube show THE HOT SEAT and how things changed for the worse to her in 2018.It was a blow that swept her off then but now she’s embracing change. She announced on her Instagram page that she is now ready to get back on the spotlight after taking a sabbatical.
“She’s back…after a sabbatical from your screens… And she’s bringing on the heat…raw conversations, political affiliations, in-depth inspiration… the heat is on, only on #TheHotSeat,” posted Jacque Maribe. Her producer Ms. Sarah Mwangi supports her decision of going media to continue her passion which is journalism. “Why not now? This whole Covid-19 situation has impacted on all of us. And not everything seems to be going right for most Kenyans. So, Jacque felt that it was time to come out and do something and make our leaders accountable for their actions,” she went on.
According to her things went from 100 to zero when she was arrested and charged for being an accomplice to her then lover Joseph Irungu alias Jowie in the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani.She later quit her job after she was released on bail. Jacque compared her experience to that of someone who was driving at a neck-breaking speed then all of a sudden came to a standstill.
“Being a female senior political reporter was an interesting journey risen like that you feel like everything is falling into place and making so much sense until one day you have no idea what the world just decides to do. Literally a standstill,” she said. Maribe also narrates how her father used to bribe her classmates at State House Girls to compete with her in class.Follow us in social media:
